Golf Course
Peace Portal Golf
Peace Portal Golf is a beautiful historic golf course located in South Surrey just minutes from the USA border. It was established in 1928 and is one of British Columbia’s oldest golf courses, a beautiful tourist attraction and a local favourite.
It was envisioned by Samuel Hill, a Seattle lawyer. He has also been noted for constructing the international Peace Arch in 1921 that marks the gateway between British Columbia and Washington State. The clubhouse and course construction began in 1927 and the charter members formed a club at the fledging course in 1928 which celebrated its 80th Anniversary in 2008. On Good Friday, March 23, 1932, the course was officially opened to the public and formally renamed Peace Portal Golf Club.
