Fishing

Surrey is home to a number of great fishing spots throughout the city.  Please note that provincial fishing licenses are required for persons wishing to fish in BC.  These can be purchased from sport fishing stores or major retailers.  Fishing limitations apply.  To obtain information on regulations, pick up a copy of the Sport Fishing Guide from the Surrey Visitor Centre, or visit the Fisheries and Oceans Canada - Pacific Region website at www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca

Brownsville Bar Park - 11931 Old Yale Road

Public access to almost 200 metres of Fraser River waterfront.

Green Timbers Lake - 144 Street & 100 Avenue

Stocked twice yearly with Rainbow Trout.

Fraser River - 11931 Old Yale Road

Salmon from July through December. A popular spot for fishing is a small beach located beneath the SkyTrain bridge at 11931 Old Yale Road, near Brownsville Pub & RV Park

Latimer Lake - 2786 192 Street

The north end of this lake is a popular spot for Salmon and Trout fishing.

Tynehead Hatchery - 16585 96 Avenue

The Tynehead hatchery is located in the Tynehead Regional Park, near the headwaters of the Serpentine River. Tours are available for visitors to look around the hatchery and to learn more about habitat enhancement. Group tours are available, call ahead to pre-book.
