Approximately one third of the land in Surrey is used for agricultural purposes and agri-tourism is growing in popularity. Surrey is one of the Lower Mainland's major agricultural producers, and as such our city is packed with local markets, farms and stands where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables direct from their sources. Other agri-tourism attractions include a corn maze, pumpkin patches, and our own local winery. Whether you prefer picking your own blueberries in the summer or want to go for a hay ride in the fall, it's all here in Surrey!
Imagine wondering through a maze. The walls on either side of you are 12 ft tall, and they are stalks of corn. Using clues and your skills to navigate your way through our corn maze. Our firepit(s) are lit every night and the marshmallows are on us. We are open August to Thanksgiving. Please check our website for dates and hours.
Honeybee Centre is a working honey farm with a country store full of natural honeybee products and a Discovery Centre where you can learn about the fascinating world of the honeybee. See Live Bees up close in our observation hive, take a public guided tour, or visit our Honeybee Festival and take in our live bee beard competition.
A small family run blueberry farm in 'Transition to Organic' (following the Canadian Organic Standards). We fill berry orders from mid July to early September. The 'Shabby Shack' is our happy little store selling Missing Goat jams, chutneys, and seasonal concoctions. *New in 2010 – Our own fresh garlic and homemade delicious pies. Potters Nursery operates 4 unique full service garden centers all of which are located in Surrey, British Columbia.
